Recovery Coordinator $2500 Sign On Available$2500 Location: Middletown, NY, United StatesDate Posted: Nov 8, 2024 Share: share to e-mail Apply Now Save JobSaved Description Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm with flexibility/on-call Location: Middletown Salary: $58,500 - $60,000 dependent upon educational background $2500 Sign ON Bonus Job Description: The MH Recovery Coordinator is responsible for many operational aspects of the Transitional Living Services (TLS) apartment treatment program. • Ensures services meet State licensing standards and contract obligations, level of service and treatment model standards. • Ensures that the program and all personnel represent the standard of care in a highly professional manner. • Ensures that all program staff are adequately skilled and motivated to implement a comprehensive treatment program. • Participates in the interviewing of potential new staff and program participants • Performs ongoing evaluation of staff performance and corrective action as required In this position, the Recovery Coordinator will also have the following major responsibilities: • Observe all agency protocols. • Oversee hiring, training and supervision of Transitional Living Counselors and Team Leader. • Provide timely and effective performance feedback, evaluation, motivation and direction to staff, contractors and direct treatment providers. • Ensures overall program service implementation. • Ensure that staff complete all assigned duties and maintain adequate and timely records. Ensures that data is provided to support staff on admission/discharge of clients in order to maintain census and facilitate billing. • Provide direction and consultation in service planning and documentation in the health record. • Review and identify qualifying services for monthly billing. • Secures apartments, working with OMH, landlords, administration and agency finance personnel to ensure that leases are maintained and/or month to month rentals meet regulatory standards. • Reviews assigned programs to ensure compliance with State licensing, and contract standards of regulating/accrediting bodies. • Conducts referral/placement, staff meetings, communicates with staff on an ongoing basis. • Responsible for timely completion of assignments and adapts to changing workloads to include On-call evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. • Supervise, facilitate and participate, as needed, in the assessment and admission process. • Supervises and monitors delivery of restorative services to clients • Monitors program: observes/evaluates apartments, buildings, grounds, staff, program supplies and vehicles, etc. • Intervenes with staff in crises as needed to facilitate appropriate response. • Develops protocols and procedures for assigned programs; facilitates programmatic/operational guidelines for program and staff. • Serves on internal and external committees. • Evaluates use of resources; provides feedback to administration re: budget development. • Participates and assists in pre-service and in-service training. • Supportive of the program philosophy, goals, and objectives. • Practices within the highest ethics and standards of their identified profession and OMH. • Develop and maintain effective working relationships between law enforcement officials, judicial officials, legal resources, medical professionals and other community resources. Qualifications: • Effectively communicates with others verbally, in writing and using electronic means. • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as, organizational and planning skills • Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team • Possess sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics • Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently • Ability to work independently • Computer literacy • Must maintain current license/certification/training as applicable • Possess a valid driver’s license, work eligibility status and have an excellent driving record • The ability to work effectively within the guiding vision, mission, values and behaviors of Access: Supports for Living, Inc. Education:Master’s Degree with 2 years in behavioral healthcare preferred; or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years experience in behavioral healthcare required.
