JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description Summary
Provides peer support services, provides information, education and support for clients, promotes wellness, recovery and skill building to sustain better health. Provides prevention training for managing stress and problems, making healthy life style choices, recognizing and responding to relapse, managing crisis and achieving and sustaining recovery. Assists clients with personal recovery goals, helps clients develop natural support systems, and coaches clients to advocate for themselves within their healthcare systems. Implements evidence-informed wellness interventions. A Recovery Specialist works both autonomously and under the direction of assigned supervisory staff when performing job tasks/providing services. As part of Centerstone’s team-oriented philosophy, a Recovery Specialist is expected to actively participate in variety of cross-functional teams and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Associates + 2 years preferred Or 5 years relevant experience with mentally ill – substance use populationExperience participating in their own personal recovery process.Ability to obtain credentialing if required within 24 months of hireMust obtain WRAP certification facilitator with in twelve (12) months of accepting position.Delivering care that changes people's lives starts with our employees.
