Job Title: Recovery Specialist
Job Description
As a Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for accurate collection, reporting, and follow-up on all refund and overpayment checks from providers, insured members, and third parties. You will ensure the precise correction of claims history and medical expense accounts.
Responsibilities
+ Research and accurately apply checks, credit cards, and other sources of payment for pharmacy and medical claims.
+ Evaluate and process adjustments for medical, historical, regular claims, and pharmacy claims.
+ Reconcile deposits or payment batches to verify that cash received balances and needed claims are adjusted.
+ Familiarize with all tracking databases and post cash to complete refund requests.
+ Index scanned deposits to affected claims and maintain accuracy as determined by the Auditing team.
+ Request refunds within correct timeframes and update records for cash received, cancellations, and other adjustments.
+ Make outbound calls to providers and members to collect on outstanding monies.
+ Report uncollectible accounts to the supervisor for further action.
+ Follow up on all claims adjudicated that generate recovery letters.
+ Answer telephone calls from providers, members, and staff, and explain the auto recovery process.
+ Maintain telephone availability and log time appropriately.
+ Respond to correspondence and phone mail requests in a timely manner.
+ Process monthly medical and pharmacy retro termination reports.
+ Meet minimum production levels and complete daily tracking sheets and spreadsheets.
+ Prepare and deliver documentation for Accounts Payable to finalize journal entries for deposits and payment batches.

Work Environment
This position is onsite at our Murray location with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Murray, Utah.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
