We are looking for innovative staff for our licensed Substance Abuse Treatment program, which is open to veterans.\n
The Recovery Specialist Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and supervision of the Recovery Specialists, and provides supervision and capacity building, and ensures supervision during the times that the Clinical and Program Managers are not on-site. The qualified candidate must have strong leadership and team building skills, management experience, substantial clinical experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, a dependable work ethic, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. \n
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:\n\nAssist with leading a multidisciplinary team to provide clients with necessary program information, conduct screenings and assessments, and assist with developing their treatment plans and goals. \nAssist with performing intakes, evaluation, orientation, treatment planning, documentation, discharge planning and referral of mental health and addiction clients. Develops and documents individualized treatment plans that address the needs client population.\nResponsible for assisting management with maintaining staffing 24\/7, to assure client safety and adherence to state licensing requirements. Maintains a strict policy and practice of non-abandonment of client care, and acts as the final line of coverage in the event of unavailability of replacement staff.\nResponsible for coordinating with management and HR regarding disciplinary measures, employee relations and employee training and development. Collaborates with HR to coordinate training for staff as needed to support program needs, and assists Clinical Manager with providing education regarding psychotherapeutic techniques and evidence based treatment practices.\nAssists with maintaining a patient engagement initiative, including outreach to de-stigmatize the utilization of counseling services, works to enhance the \"Culture of Care,\" understands how to treat clients with dignity and respect, and has the ability to de-escalate upset clients.\nIdentifies and develops the curriculum and process for psychosocial drug and alcohol support groups focusing on coping mechanisms and understanding the nature of addiction. Increases education, screening, care coordination, risk reduction interventions, and counseling for clients with or at risk of HIV\/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other diseases associated with opioid use disorders.\nProvides required documentation and timely reports (including narratives and data reports) as needed. Maintains and monitors audit ready client files and documentation as required.\nAttends and participates in meetings as required. Leads meetings when necessary.\nOther duties and special projects as assigned.\n\n
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:\n\nBachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services field\nMinimum of two (2) year of supervisory\/management experience.\nMinimum of two (2) year experience working with adult mental illness and substance abuse disorder population.\nStrong interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.\nDocumented experience working with clients with trauma histories.\nDocumented experience working within an inpatient treatment center or human service setting.\nExperience using electronic medical records preferred.\nMust be available on some weekends.\nMust be able to successfully pass a CORI\/Background records check.\nCompliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
