Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eglin Outdoor Recreation. This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 96th Force Support Squadron at Eglin AFB Florida. Position is Regular Part-time (RPT) guaranteed 20-34 hours per week and schedule tour of duty may include nights, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of recreational facilities. Follows schedules of events as well as the rules and regulations to be observed. Types of duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Tests water-skiing and boating equipment for safe operation; demonstrates safety and conservation techniques for campsites, water sports and beach areas; demonstrates equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities such as camping, swimming, and boating; inspects outdoor recreation facilities and equipment for security and general conditions; schedules campsites, cabins, boats, and other outdoor recreation equipment and areas for use, with responsibility for seeing that they are vacated or returned in good order. Collects use fees, receives funds from resale operations, performs inventory and cash handling duties in accordance with established cash handling and accountability procedures. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
