Summary This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families. Responsibilities Assists in coaching or preparing the competitive and non-competitive swimming programs as required. Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training. Assists in maintaining pool and area clean and free from any hazards. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following: ALL CERTIFICATIONS BELOW (if obtaining, must provide to the Human Resources Office PRIOR to beginning work) Lifeguard (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard or Ellis), AND American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent (i.e. Star Guard or Ellis), AND First Aid Certification. experience providing customer service to others PLEASE NOTE: Your resume & application package must reflect the qualifications stated in the announcement and questionnaire to be rated eligible. Sunday Premium and Night Differential pay have NOT been authorized by the Garrison Commander or the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Flexible positions with no guaranteed hours. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances A nonforeign area allowance or differential is not granted to employees in payband levels NF-1 and NF-2 since their rates already are based on the prevailing rate.
