Key Responsibilities of the Recreation Attendant:
• Maintains cleanliness of facility operations according to established daily maintenance procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of department programs, events, and activities.
• Answers guest questions regarding such programs.
• Maintains understanding of operating procedures for pool, bikes, and fitness equipment.
• Completes checklist for opening, closing, and daily procedures.
• Takes direction from Facility Coordinator.
• Provides safe environment within facilities and activities.
• Performs all recreation activities regarding facility operations to include daily programs, holiday, and special events.
• Processes recreation reservations as needed.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications for the Recreation Attendant:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Regular and reliable work attendance.
• Must be available to work weekends.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, uses hands.
Occasionally walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform duties. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
