About the location:

Your own private paradise on a lush coral island. On Desroches Island, there is nothing to distract you from tranquillity, save for the sound of birds singing and an ocean breeze that invites you to come a little closer. We’re the only resort on this captivating coral island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where the beaches belong to no one and everyone at the same time. Our rustic villas and suites are intimate retreats and will make you feel like a castaway who has struck gold.

Purpose:

The Recreation Attendant leads excursions, conducts all guest recreation and entertainment programs, and manages the equipment in the Fitness Center while providing superior guest service according to Four Seasons Core and Culture Standards to ensure maximum guest satisfaction at all times. He contributes to the smooth operation of the guest activity and fitness experience by efficiently accomplishing all specific tasks and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Converse with guests and answer questions regarding the recreation facilities and the resort Provide orientation of recreation facilities if the guest requests Assist guests with recreation equipment, towels, sport specific wear and gear and water as needed Test operation of all gym equipment daily, inclusive of  TV's, AC’s and all other equipment in the fitness center Conduct fitness activity group/Private session as per guest request Enrolled in tennis match/Private lesson Promote and up sell excursions to guests, customizing where necessary to meet guest needs Responsible for the different recreational weekly activities, running these activities with guests with high level of professionalism and connection Maintaining the different water equipment on the beaches (inspect the paddle boards, Kayaks, Life jackets, Toys Etc.) for guest usage. Be Stationed at the weekly pop up bar at the beach allocated for the day to assist guests with any equipment on the beach and to ensure guest satisfaction. Ensure overall upkeep of the beach facilities. Adhere to all corporate core standards in execution of programming Work closely with supervisor/ Manager to ensure proper standards of hygiene and functioning of equipment Assist in handling guest requests, complaints, and any other challenges in the department. Ensuring that Recreation Management is well-informed of the above and any action or follow-up required. Participate fully in all departmental training as outlined by your manager. Perform any other tasks or projects assigned by the hotel management and staff.

Non-Essential Functions:

Assist with duties in the conservation activities and different guest’s bookings in the absence of conservation guide. Perform other duties or projects as assigned by hotel and department management
