Responsible for providing exceptionally enjoyable and safe pool experience for resort guests commensurate with the demands and expectations of a four-star hotel.  Directs the provision of pool services, including towel issuance and inventory control. Maintains the cleanliness and physical appearance of pool area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining guest safety in all pool areas, ensuring professional and consistent adherence to all pool safety standardsSupervises day-to-day operationsAssists in evaluation of changes in guest needs, the hotel’s guest mix, and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to be made to ensure guest and employee satisfaction, and to maintain market dominance and exceptional financial returns.Assists in maintaining proper positioning, visibility and condition of all pool safety and rescue equipmentCoordinates welcoming of all guest upon arrival at pool area and the immediate provision of towelsSupervises the ongoing issuance and inventory or pool towelsSupervises the provision of chilled towels and water spray bottlesSupervises the provision of complimentary drinking water for pool guestsSupervises the provision of misting serviceSupervises all guest pool activitiesSupervises set-up and tear down required for all poolside functionsSupervises the provision of recreational items and equipmentSupervises the cleaning, maintenance and placement of pool furnitureSupervises the monitoring of guests leaving the pool area and the picking up of all dirty towels and garbage and the repositioning of chairsTurns in lost and found items throughout shift according to hotel proceduresMonitors and maintains appropriate inventory of pool towels throughout shift, obtaining clean towels from the laundry and returning dirty towels.Attends all departmental meetings as scheduledMonitors timely logging and submittal to Security of all lost and found itemsSupervises all cabana operationsAssist in preparing weekly schedulesConducts daily walk through of both Fitness Center and Kids CampCoordinates and executes daily activitiesTraining, spot check , coach all new Team Members to optimum performanceOther duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Excellent guest service skillsExcellent oral/written communication skillsAbility to lift 40 lbs. and pull/push 100 lbsAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Education: 

High school degree

Experience: 

Minimum one year Supervisory experience preferred

Licenses or Certificates: 

CPR/First Aid certified preferred

Wage range for this position, based on experience, is $21.20 to $26.50.
