JOB TITLE: Recreation Worker
Purpose of the Position: Provide the care of children and youth in and after school setting; develop, plan and implement activities and works for all program participants.
Reports To: Child Care Coordinator
Supervises: N/A
I. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs care of program participants and assist in coverage , plan and implement activities and workshops for children Perform all program recording and reporting to supervisor Develop monthly calendars Prepare monthly activity plan Prepare observation and incident reports Prepare for and implement adult workshops and independent living sessions Ensures safety standards for indoor and outdoor activities Prepare workshop curricula Prepares for and ensures meal preparations for children Performs all other function as assigned
II. QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or equivalent desired; must have some experience in working with adults, children and youth; must be able to work with at-risk families. Acquire crisis intervention and conflict resolution and CPR training. Food Handler’s certification and or training necessary.

V. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Employee will be responsible to perform all functions and duties relative to the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities. Employee will ensure The wellbeing of program participants. Plan, develop and provide for workshops, trips and functions that are both cultural and educational. Employee will supervise interns and volunteers and perform the day-to-day functions and duties for a recreational, educational and vocational learning experience.
