What you will do in this role:
Responsible for providing a full range of recreation therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in a team environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standardsDemonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashionPlanning, implementation and documentation of group and individual sessions for each populationCompletion of Activity/Recreational Therapy assessmentsMaintaining and ordering appropriate materials and supplies for interventionsQualificationsAt a minimum, be a graduate of a bachelor’s degree therapeutic recreation program (or foreign equivalent), and hold an applicable and current license/certification to practiceCertification by the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists is requiredMinimum of one year in a psychiatric settingEducation/experience in working with an adult and geriatric population is preferredComputer and current technology competence
