Recreational Therapist

Recreational Therapist - Recreational Therapy Department working at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA, employed by Providence St. Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center

Shift Details: Part-time, Day shift, 32 hours a week

Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, the Recreational Therapists plan, direct, and coordinate recreation programs for people with disabilities or illnesses to assist with maintaining or improving the patient's physical and emotional well-being. The Recreational Therapist will work collaboratively with a team that includes other clinicians across disciplines, rehab nurses, and physicians to create the best possible outcome for our patients.
All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Institute, as well as being a positive representative of the hospital at all times.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduated from an accredited Recreational Therapy program. Washington Recreational Therapist Registration upon hire or National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recreational Therapist experience.
