A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who incollaboration with the multi-disciplinary team develops a plan of care for eachtherapy patient and provides skilled recreational therapy services inaccordance with physician orders.

When: 2025 School Year  Pay: $30-$35  Where: Pasadena 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administers, scores, and interprets various tests Interviews and observes to assess aptitudes and interests Plans effective treatment and recommends treatmentobjectives Administers treatment utilizing the recreational therapymodality with individual/groups of patients having physical, emotional andsocial disabilities Evaluates and adjusts treatments as appropriate Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

At least one year of current experience in RecreationTherapy preferred Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) perstate/client requirement Water Safety and Health Fitness Instructor certificationspreferred Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice  Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency programwhen applicable Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site  Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements   Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required   Computer proficiency required  Must be at least 18 years of age
