Specific teaching assignments would be in both the RTR major and the Disability Studies and Community Inclusion (DSCI) minor. Courses taught may be required toward student certification with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Association (NCTRA) and may include both face-to-face and online delivery methods. This position would also advise the Pre-OT registered student organization. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in recreational therapy or therapeutic recreation. Certification with NCTRC. Three years of experience in the field of recreational therapy. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience. Evidence of teaching effectiveness. Practitioner experience. About the Department The RPL department serves over 300 majors and 600 minors and has beaccredited since 1982. The RTR program has approximately 60 RTR majors and 60 DSCI minors.
