POSITION SUMMARY:
As Recruiter Associate Intern at Joule, you will play a vital role in supporting our recruitment efforts by assisting with sourcing, screening, and onboarding top talent in the scientific, healthcare, and clinical fields. Under the guidance of experienced recruiters, you will learn valuable skills and contribute to building strong candidate relationships, identifying talent, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process. This position will run from May 27 through August 8. This position is onsite 2-3 days a week Tuesday through Thursday in Edison, NJ.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Under the guidance and support of a senior recruiting staff, the responsibilities listed below highlight the key tasks you will undertake during specific timeframes, which will be established throughout the training and development period.
Sourcing and Recruitment :
+ Utilize various tools and platforms to identify and attract qualified scientific, healthcare, and clinical candidates across various industries. Conduct targeted searches on job boards, social media, and internal databases to discover potential candidates.
+ Proactively source candidates through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
Candidate Evaluation and Screening:
+ Assess and evaluate the candidate’s qualifications and fit for open positions.
+ Conduct phone screenings to assess basic qualifications, interest, and salary expectations.
+ Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Interview Preparation and Coordination:
+ Provide candidates comprehensive information about the company, role, and interview process.
+ Provide interview materials, information packets, and scheduling logistics.
Candidate Debrief and Feedback:
+ Participate in post-interview debriefs with recruiters (observing and learning).
+ Assist with providing candidates timely feedback on their interviews (with guidance).
Offer Extension and Negotiation:
+ Gain exposure to the offer extension and negotiation process.
+ Assist with ensuring pre-hire requirements are completed.
Pipeline Management and Relationship Building:
+ Assist in developing and maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates.
+ Begin building professional relationships with candidates.
Client Support and Business Development:
+ Collaborate with the team to generate leads and market intelligence to support new client development efforts.
Performance and KPI Achievement:
+ Consistently achieve or exceed weekly key performance indicators (KPIs)
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
+ Stay updated on industry trends and recruiting best practices.
+ Participate in training and development programs as assigned.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS REQUIRED
EDUCATION
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related
EXPERIENCE
+ No prior professional experience required; relevant coursework or extracurricular activities a plus.
+ Demonstrated interest in a customer-focused or sales-related field.
SKILLS REQUIRED
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software.
+ Experience with social media platforms and tools for sourcing candidates.
+ Ability to use online research tools and databases to identify potential candidates.
+ Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to secure offers and close deals.
+ Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges in the recruiting process.
+ Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and unexpected situations.
+ Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in all recruiting tasks.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Ability to network and build relationships within the scientific and clinical communities
