**Job Summary**
The Division of Public Health ( DPH ) is looking for a Recruiter who is self-motivated, with excellence communication skills, proficient with social media. This position will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive student recruitment plan. Manages recruitment activities, including the creation of marketing materials, social media campaigns, presentations, attending conference and college fair exhibits.
**Responsibilities**
**Essential Functions:**
1. Manages a comprehensive student recruitment plan. Includes developing/maintaining relationships with high school staff, and visiting undergraduate programs on campus and in the region.
2. Conduct recruitment presentations, campus tours, and host special events.
3. Counsel students and parents regarding the admissions process.
4. Assist prospective students in gathering the necessary information they need to make an informed decision about the University of Utah and how to navigate the various processes and offices to enroll at the University of Utah.
5. Provide follow-up correspondence and individual counseling to prospective students via in-person meetings, e-mail, telephone, and U.S. mail.
6. Work with Academic Advising team to ensure smooth transfer from recruitment to matriculation.
7. Actively track and report out on prospective student recruitment
8. May assist in supporting other areas of department as needed such as education team and marketing team.
9. Manage social media accounts.
10. Manage and support learning aboard activities.
11. Attending national and local conferences
12. Other duties as assigned
**Minimum Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree or or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) in a related area; one year of experience in career services, human resources, working in a campus environment or post college experience; a basic knowledge of employment policies, legal constraints and interviewing techniques; and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and effective communication skills required. The ability to manage time and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks are also required. A degree in a related area may include human resources, behavioral sciences, business or other relevant field.
**Preferences**
