Recruiting Coordinator - Hiring full-time or part-time!

Job Description

The Recruiting Coordinator is accountable for providing a wide variety of administrative support activities and functions as it relates to the recruitment and hiring process. This position will work closely with an assigned recruiter and mentor to train and transition work activities, this position will also work in close collaboration and in a direct reporting relationship to the Senior Director of Recruiting.

We are open to hiring the ideal candidate on either a part-time or full-time basis, depending on their availability and preferences. We encourage applicants with varying schedules to apply

Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

Manage incoming calls, transfers, and messages for the Recruiting Department.

Assist applicants with inquiries and the application process.

Support job seekers and shareholders with application assistance, password resets, and general inquiries over the phone or in the NANA front lobby as needed.

Post and track job openings on various platforms.

Coordinate and participate in recruitment events.

Provide general administrative support.

Recruitment Coordination:

Assist in the hiring process, including phone screens, skills assessments, and offer letters.

Track and support department expense reporting.

Coordinate with hiring managers on iCIMS requests and processes.

Draft iCIMS requisitions as needed.

Maintain applicant and interview data in iCIMS.

Assist with candidate dispositioning and closing requisitions.

Recruitment Marketing and Strategy:

Support recruitment marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Research and recommend new sources for candidate recruiting.

Participate in HR-related meetings.

Compliance and Confidentiality:

Operate in a confidential environment and exercise discretion.

Adhere to employment laws and regulations.

Additional Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's success.

This position requires an extremely perceptive person, who can relate to individuals at all levels from many diverse backgrounds. As unique situations present themselves, the Recruiting Coordinator must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the public image. Experience working with Alaska Native cultures is critical for success.

Qualifications

Two (2) years of post-secondary education and at least two (2) years of varied HR, recruiting or staffing or related admin support experience. Willing to consider additional experience in lieu of post-secondary education.

Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and post-offer physical assessment.

Must have a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier (clear three-year record with no DUI’s in the past five years).

Must type at least 50 words per minute.

Must have three years’ experience using general office equipment and various software programs.

Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Skills testing will be administered and evaluated as part of the interview and selection process.

Must have ATS (applicant tracking systems) experience, experience working with iCIMS preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside.

Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.

Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.

Travel: Up to 10% of the time.Employee may travel throughout Alaska and/or to remote locations and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including but not limited to snow machines, boats, small airplanes, and ATVs. Travel to and from the worksite will be provided and arranged by NANA.

Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of software used in databases, HRIS systems, the Internet, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Background position ranking skill levels:

Language skills: Sufficient to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Writes reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively presents information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
