Job Description
Business Manager is responsible for growing sales through uptake of recruitment services provided by Henry Schein. Primary responsibility of this role is the successful running of the recruitment department, working closely with the team of recruiters to drive success of dental recruitment business in UK & Ireland. This role includes full sales and team responsibility. An additional focus of this role is fostering collaborative relationships with practice group owners and Dental Service Organisations (DSOs).
Customer base consists of clients, known as dental practice (single, group or DSO) owners, as well as candidates looking for positions in those practices or groups. The role has direct responsibility for the management, oversight and delivery of 360 recruitment geographically covering the whole of the UK & Ireland. Business Manager is responsible for establishing and continually improving all recruiting processes, developing productive relationships with internal colleagues, supporting them with any client, candidate or process queries, while assisting in building best in class service.
This role’s key contacts are members of the Dental Recruitment team, dental practice and Multi-Practice Group owners and Dental Service Organisations (DSOs) looking for candidates, as well as pool of candidates registered with the company. Extended responsibility includes building awareness of market dynamics, developing relationships with colleagues within the One Schein (broader Henry Schein) environment, as well as building relationships with any other team members with responsibility for strategy and operational direction.
Dental Recruitment is an integral service within the portfolio of available Henry Schein products and services, key part of One Schein. Business Manager will play a supportive role in fostering One Schein culture, driving initiatives and collaborating across business units to achieve company goals.
Business Manager will be a seasoned recruitment professional, with a deep understanding of client and candidate motivations and a successful track record from, preferably, healthcare industry. A sound practical understanding of commercials around dental recruitment with a very strong desire to drive the business forward and win sales.

Full sales responsibility for the Recruitment businessLead, manage and support a team of recruitment consultantsEstablish great relationships with group and DSO clients, winning business and continuing to build a sound understanding of how best to collaborateEngage with key clients and ensure you are the point of contact for issues that have escalatedEstablish goals, targets and KPI’s to meet departments growth objectives and manage to those key benchmarksBuild relationships with business partners, clients, publications and organisations for future growth plans and collaborationEngage with other Heads of department and key One Shein contacts to encourage cross departmental collaboration and aligned approach to our customers, facilitating future growthUndertake tasks as required by the organisation but not explicitly covered in this job descriptionJob Skills & Experience Required:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:
Skill & Experience:
Ability to operate confidently and competently at a business-to-business level, engaging and forming partnerships with dental practice owners and senior managers of multi-million-pound Multi-Practice Groups and Corporates.High degree of commercial acumen, with expert recruitment skills, preferably in the healthcare sector.Sound understanding of key market drivers and what is important to recruitment customersExcellent communication skills (written and verbal).A customer-centric, collaborative, consultative and commercially astute approach to growing a customer base and building strong and long-term relationships with a win-win mindset.Experience of team and department building, coordinating workload effectively.Able to develop and communicate business strategies and ideas clearly and confidently.Ability to co-ordinate complex, matrixed action plans and motivate TSMs in and out of the direct reporting line, across the OneSchein Business UnitsComfortable with setting and managing projects to clearly defined KPIsExperience in Healthcare industry is desirable but not essential.What you'll get in return:
