The HR team at The Task Force for Global Health is a dedicated and passionate group of professionals committed to supporting the organization's mission of building durable public health systems that serve all people. They are a dynamic and collaborative team that strives to create a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued and empowered. As the Task Force continues to grow, identifying and acquiring the right talent to fit its long-term global public health, management, and administrative needs are essential. This role will work with Task Force sectors/departments to understand their needs, provide targeted solutions, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to the evolving organizational structure and strategies.
The Task Force for Global Health is an Emory University affiliate located in Decatur, GA. Its eighteen programs focus on building durable public health systems that serve all people. Focus areas include neglected tropical diseases, vaccines, and health systems strengthening. The TFGH received the 2016 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize–the world's largest award of its kind–in recognition of its extraordinary contributions to alleviating human suffering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as a human resources professional with expertise in multiple human resources specialties. Analyzes relevant data and provides input into the design and administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs in an effort to meet the needs of assigned business unit(s). Advises customers, staff and leadership on human resources issues. Interprets and counsels leadership and employees on policies and procedures to ensure their fair and consistent application. Ensures forms and documents are completed in a timely manner. Performs related responsibilities as required.Lead the Recruitment ProcessTake charge of the interview process, working closely with hiring managers across diverse departments and programs.Collaborate with Emory University Central HR Recruiting to ensure a smooth and efficient experience within our unique dual-hiring structure.Champion a Positive Candidate ExperienceAct as a champion for both candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a positive and seamless experience from initial application to onboarding.Develop Future LeadersShape and grow our internship and fellowship programs, contributing to the development of future talent within the organization.Support Key HR Functions:Beyond recruitment, you'll play a key role in benefits orientation and HR systems management.Recruitment Expertise:
Solid understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.Experience with various recruitment channels and techniques, including online platforms, social media, and networking events.Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR databases.Ability to develop and implement creative recruitment strategies, especially for attracting diverse talent.Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues.Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to provide constructive feedback.Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and with varying levels of English proficiency.Organizational and Administrative Skills:
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field, and five years of human resources administration experience which preferably includes three years in a human resources specialty, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Proficiency with various personal computer software applications including a word processing, database management, and/or spreadsheet package.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A genuine interest in and commitment to global health issues and the organization's mission.Awareness of and sensitivity to cultural differences, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to identify and analyze problems, develop solutions, and make sound decisions.A strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and programs.Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve processes and solve problems.Experience with international recruitment and visa processing.Knowledge of employment laws and regulations in different countries.Fluency in a second language relevant to the organization's work.Recruitment CoordinationBy possessing these skills and attributes, a recruitment coordination specialist can effectively contribute to the success of a global health organization by attracting and onboarding the talented individuals needed to fulfill its mission.3+ years of solid experience in a recruitment or HR support role.Experience in a global health organization or a non-profit setting is preferred.Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Passion for creating a positive and inclusive work environment.Proactive and solution-oriented approach.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
