The Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator supports the full range of faculty and professional staff search processes. The successful candidate will be an ambassador to campus culture as they serve as the first point of contact for applicants while also being an important resource to departments as they initiate searches and select candidates. The Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinator will deliver a high-quality experience for applicants and departments, working with appropriate HRDI staff and partner offices to ensure confidentiality and consistency of processes and practices. Duties of the role include but are not limited to:• Guides departments in understanding the importance of inclusion and equitable practice in all aspects of the search process, beginning with creating position descriptions and designing an appropriate recruitment plan.• Post positions on the applicant tracking software as well as to necessary external platforms.• Manages the recruitment module of the applicant tracking software as well as any updates or software changes with vendor.• Manages advertising contracts with appropriate vendors• Serve as a resource for prospective candidates including answering applicant questions about applying online.• Maintains a working knowledge of recruitment best practices, state, and federal employment laws, AA/EEO practices, current bargaining unit agreements, and college employment policy and procedures.• Coordinates the appointment and initial onboarding processes for new hires, including immigration status, maintains clear and consistent communication with departments and partner offices regarding appointment and onboarding status.• Conducts recruitment and retention assessment.• Maintains and presents data on searches.• Supports and/or delivers orientation and onboarding for various classification of employees.• Prepares data for annual Affirmative Action Report in conjunction with the HRDI Compliance & Data Analyst.• Assesses and provides recommendations for improvements regarding applicant experience, business processes and internal customer support.• Remains cross trained and current on civil service recruitment practices to provide support or coverage of work as needed.• Other duties or service to the college may be assigned. Qualifications: Required:• Bachelor’s Degree in related area plus one (1) direct recruitment experience. In lieu of a degree, 3-5 years of direct recruitment experience may be considered.• Demonstrated experience working with applicant tracking software and relational databases.• Working knowledge of applicable Human Resources policies and procedures, labor contracts and employment law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity.• Excellent record keeping and organization to meet and manage competing deadlines and priorities.• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to articulate complex ideas for diverse audiences. Preferred:• Strong knowledge of interviewing and employee reference techniques and methodologies.• Comfortable using, learning, and delivering services with new technology.• Able to deliver consistent and high-quality customer service and to interact effectively with a diverse campus constituent while responding efficiently to needs and requests.
