Reference Data Analyst
Job Description Job Purpose Intercontinental Exchange is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Sustainable Finance Operations team based in Hyderabad. The primary purpose of this position is to support the team by providing subject matter expertise on all ESG matters. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to update, analyse and interpret various data sets. You will make recommendations pertaining to content development, process development and best practices. You will liaise and collaborate with various stakeholders such as our training team, business analysts, data quality and customer support to improve the quality, completeness, timeliness, and breadth of the data set. You will conduct detailed mapping exercises linking ICE ESG data set to other ESG frameworks. Responsibilities Analyze, interpret, collate, and transform data provided in a variety corporate social responsibility report, reference documents, third party reports and vendor information while ensuring that the reference data provided in ICE’s products and services accurate, comprehensive and in a timely manner, namely best in class. Make sound, subjective decisions when interpreting information by utilizing subject matter expertise to infer, deduce and ultimately draw the right conclusions! Provide customer support for users of ICE products by resolving inquiries in a timely manner. Use Visio & Python to analyze and interpret ESG data set. Writing BRDs as and when needed. Knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred. Experience working on technology / business change data programmes is highly advantageous. Experience creating Tableau dashboards is highly desirable. Procure required documents and/or trusted content utilizing creative internet searches and by conducting direct outreach to companies, new agencies etc., Apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative work-flow efficiencies and process improvements resulting in increased accuracy levels, time to market and productivity. Help identify trends and causation of inaccurate and/or incomplete data. Participate in ad hoc projects to optimize processes and/or improve the quality of the data set. Create charts, graphs, and presentations for leadership teams. Knowledge & Experience MBA Finance or equivalent/higher qualification is required. SQL/Macro/Advanced Excel knowledge is preferred and would be added advantage. Proven experience in data analysis and prescriptive modelling. Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms and programming language Python SQL: For data manipulation and querying Databases: Relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) Big Data Technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Good Understanding of ETL Tools: Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow Good Understanding of Cloud Platforms: AWS(preferred), GCP Data Warehousing: Concepts and tools (Snowflake, Redshift) Must have 5 years of Data Operations. Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial markets. Excellent oral and written communication skills Must possess the ability to influence others. Demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and attention to detail. Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
