Reference Test Clerk (Referrals)

LabCorp is seeking a Reference Test Clerk to join our team in Oak Creek, WI. This position will be responsible for preparing and sending specimens and test requests to LabCorp and/or contracted reference laboratory for testing, as well as releasing referral test results into the computer system.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:00pm-1:30am, rotating weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare laboratory specimens for various analysis and testingResearch, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problemsSend test requests to proper location and release test resultsAssist clients with any specimen related requests or inquiresProcess specimens to be sent out to additional facilitiesProvide support to various areas of the laboratoryPerform sample sorting, racking and retrievingPrepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalentExperience in a laboratory environment is preferredComfortability with handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensBasic computer and data entry skills Strong communication skills; written and verbalAbility to work independently or within a team environmentWell organized and a high level of attention to detailAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeMust pass a standardized color blindness test
