Referral Coordinator
Job Descriptions: Join our dedicated team and be the bridge between patients and essential healthcare services as a Referral Coordinator at Chapa-De Indian Health! Salary: $21.00 - $24.45 starting, DOE. Benefit Highlights: + Employer-paid Health Insurance (medical, dental and vision): 100% for employee and 80% for dependents. + 17 days PTO per year, 11 Paid Holidays, 8+ Sick Days (1 hour for every 30 hours worked) + Retirement Plan with 6% match Referral Coordinator: + Monitors eCW throughout the day to capture referral requests in real time. + Prepare electronic Treatment Authorization Requests (eTAR), and pre-authorizations as required. + Utilizes third party payer/insurance portals. + Ensures proper use of CPT and current ICD 10 codes to meet the requirements of third party payers and specialty clinics. + Assemble information concerning patient's clinical background and referral needs per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical information to specialist. Required Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + One year medical office experience with previous hands-on knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal Managed care, Medicare, private insurance and other alternate resources. + One year customer service experience, answering multi-line phone calls and using computer based applications in a professional manner. + Knowledge of ICD-10 + Current and in good standing: CDL, vehicle insurance and DMV printout.
