Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Referral Lab Coordinator to manage the coordination of raw material, excipient, bulk, and finished product testing at third-party laboratories. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking testing requirements, obtaining quotes, arranging sample shipments, and collecting and distributing test results. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure testing is completed on time and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate third-party laboratory testing for raw materials, excipients, bulk, and finished products, ensuring testing is completed within established timelines and meets regulatory requirements.Obtain and evaluate quotes from external labs, manage the scheduling and progress of tests, and ensure results are delivered on time.Ensure proper handling and shipment of samples, including documentation and compliance with standard operating procedures.Track and manage all testing activities, maintaining accurate records of testing progress, results, and vendor interactions.Collaborate with internal teams, such as Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and R&D, to ensure testing aligns with project timelines and regulatory standards.Develop and maintain relationships with third-party laboratories to ensure high-quality service and cost-effective solutions.Assist in selecting testing laboratories based on their capabilities, turnaround times, costs, and compliance with industry standards.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards (cGMP) related to laboratory testing.Create reports and summaries regarding testing activities, vendor performance, and laboratory results.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field (preferred, but not required).2-3 years of experience in a vendor coordination or laboratory-related role, ideally within an FDA-regulated industry.Experience with managing third-party laboratory testing, vendor coordination, or analytical testing processes.Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and analysis.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external vendors.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
