Growing together.** The **Referral Navigator** will assist patients face to face in a primary care clinic setting with referral creation, ordering and scheduling of all testing necessary to satisfy referral requirements for specialty care. Additionally, they will schedule appointments with the specialty provider and monitor and process referrals until all pending information is complete. They are expected to collaborate with all members of the care team to support the vision, mission and goals of OptumCare NV and will be supervised by the Clinical Ops Supervisor and/or manager as applicable. **Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM **Location:** 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV **Primary Responsibilities:** + Answers phones and schedules appointments + Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed + Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule) + Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc. + Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public + Provide initial contact with patient at the close of appointment to help with understanding their referral(s), facilitate the completion of required labs/tests, and scheduling specialty appointments within SMA and with network providers. Resolve complex issues, rarely deferring to the Senior Referral Navigator + Create referrals for specialty care utilizing clear decision trees and monitor all outstanding incomplete referrals until requirements are satisfied and dispositioned + Address all patient care items regarding their specialty referrals via tasking, RightFax, email, and telephone + Responsible for meeting/exceeding customer service standards in communication, appointment scheduling, processing and dispositioning specialty referrals + Always conduct scheduling and call processes in a professional manner. Maintain contact with patients and regularly update with status of any pending referral requirements + Communicate with Primary Care Providers when referral requirements are not met to assist with plan of care + Collaborate with contracted network providers to ensure patient needs are being met + Recommend process changes to improve efficiency and promote customer service excellence + Responsible for compliance requirements as dictated by clinic needs, SOPs, Press Ganey Scores and audit results + Performs all other related duties as assigned **What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
