Referral Representative - Full Time

There’s a reason we are a recognized healthcare leader. **Position Highlights** **Summary** + The Referral Representative is responsible for processing referrals made by providers by scheduling the appointments with the patient present following their clinic appointment or by gathering information from the patient and following up in a timely manner. This position schedules orders for radiology tests, physical therapy, and specialty clinics. **General Hours of Work** + Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm **Education and/or Experience** + High School diploma or GED. General computer knowledge required. Bi-lingual experience preferred but not required. **Essential Functions** + Obtains information from provider offices and patients for processing referrals in an accurate, timely and sequential manner. + Works on Referral List to ensure referrals are completed and communicated to patients and provider office. + Assists with collection and sharing of records to facilitate referrals to specialists. + Assist with patients coming into the facility with referral questions. + Demonstrates technological knowledge and skills sufficient to integrate the use of health care technology and/or information management systems as it pertains to scheduling. + General clerical duties to include, but not limited to making copies, faxing documents, greeting, answering/ monitoring phones, making appointments, relaying messages. + Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
