Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles.DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Responsibilities

The Referral and Authorization Specialist is responsible for ensuring patients have been cleared for specialty service office visits; obtaining and issuing referrals for ancillary consult radiology or lab visits; receiving approvals for medication formularies durable medical equipment home health care and other items or services as needed.

Resolves, pre-certification, registration and case-related concerns prior to a patients appointment. This includes interacting with patients, insurance carriers and various internal departments.Completes the referral process for a patient's ancillary, consultation, radiology or lab visit. The process includes checking insurance coverage, sending approval and receiving confirmation, scheduling appointments, and notifying patients of progress.

Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000.


Qualifications

Minimum:

Must live in AZ, NV, or TXMinimum of two (2) years experience in Medical Office or other healthcare environment.Demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Familiar with coding

Preferred:

Bi-lingual preferred. Familiarity with the referral/authorization process and interacting with insurance carriers is preferred
