Job Title: Referral Specialist II

Job Description

We are seeking a Referral Specialist II to join our team onsite at a health reference lab in Durham, NC. The Referral Specialist II will manage a client's referral send-out work, provide onsite customer service, and serve as a resource to the client's clinical laboratory staff. This role involves the management of biological specimens, order and specimen resolution, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and monitoring assigned reports.

ResponsibilitiesManage client's referral send-out work as directed by client management and governed by business contract.Provide onsite customer service and act as a resource to the client's clinical laboratory staff.Handle biological specimens, including receipt, verification, handling, aliquoting, processing, and shipping.Resolve order and specimen issues and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Monitor assigned reports and interact with clients to resolve issues related to specimen submissions.Maintain MCL supply inventory.Perform duties including pending lists, billing charges, Joint Test Catalog maintenance, quality metrics, and training of send-out staff.Essential Skills1+ years of experience within a lab.Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with others.High level of confidentiality in handling results, patient information, and business interactions.Organized and capable of prioritizing work with limited oversight.Good human relations skills and effective communication both orally and in written form.Attention to detail and adherence to strict safety requirements for handling chemicals and infectious agents.Additional Skills & QualificationsN/AWork Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
