Refinery Operator I

The Refinery Operator I is responsible for performing and overseeing various refinery plant operational duties within an industrial work environment. This role involves monitoring and controlling refining/processing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The position offers on-the-job training, making it ideal for entry-level candidates looking to start a career in refinery operations. **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times. + Operate and monitor refinery plant equipment and processes according to established procedures and safety protocols. + Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. + Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and chemical concentrations to ensure optimal performance. + Communicate with plant personnel and management to coordinate safe and efficient operations. + Complete documentation, including operating logs, maintenance records, and safety reports. + Participate in training and development programs to improve skills. + Collaborate with the maintenance department and external drivers for operational support. + Other duties as assigned by manager.
