Georgia Eye Associates started providing care in 1988 with an experienced team of optometrists and ophthalmologists they specialize in laser refractive surgery, including Lasik, as well as no-stitch and laser cataract surgery while also offering additional services such as multifocal lens implants and cornea repair/transplants.
Position SummaryThe Refractive Care Coordinator (RCC) will be responsible for the sales and promotion of Premium Lens for cataract surgery. They are responsible for maintaining and growing our Premium Sales Volume. This position entails the responsibility of educating, marketing, and selling patients on all aspects of Refractive Surgery, in addition to premium cataract services. The Refractive Coordinator serves as a connection between the office, surgical facility, patients, and physician.
Responsibilities Counsels Standard and Premium IOL patients on their options for surgery.• Counsels’ patients on their financing options for Premium Lens• Handles all telephone interactions with Premium Lens surgery candidates• Reports on performance metrics are prepared and delivered using Microsoft Excel. This tool allows for the organization and analysis of data related to performance metrics, providing valuable insights and information for decision- making purposes.• Preparing sales reports and documentation for all candidates interested in Premium lenses involves gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to sales performance and customer preferences to provide a comprehensive overview of market trends and potential opportunities for growth. This process typically includes gathering sales data, evaluating customer feedback, and identifying key insights to inform future sales strategies and decision- making. It is essential to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in documenting this information to ensure the integrity of the sales reports and support informed decision-making within the organization.• Acts as a key contact person for all refractive vendors and refractive surgery inquiries.• Keeps inventory of Refractive Coordinator educational materials, including vendors.• Handles refractive surgery patient complaints and concerns.• Collect patient testimonials (at post-op appointments) and consent to use them for marketing purposes.• Participate in and network with customers at conventions, educational events, etc.• Grow sales within the department.Qualifications
Education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate
Required Skills:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical specialty practice, ophthalmology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of sales experience
• Strong computer knowledge and skills with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
• Strong desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service
• Must be highly dependable and organized
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• An impeccably clean, polished, professional image
• The ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve and think independently
Preferred Skills:
• Understanding of medical terminology
