About the Role
Reporting to the Housing Maintenance Supervisor the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician will undertake day-to-day preventative maintenance activities and breakdown repairs in a safe and efficient manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and liveability in our Newman Residential Houses, Newman FIFO accommodation and Eco Villages.
Other responsibilities include:
Undertake preventative maintenance inspections of plant and equipment; Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development; Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process; Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation; Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour; Participate within the Housing Department to implement business plans consistent with site strategies/ plans; Monitor the Housing Maintenance work plan and elevate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to the Supervisor; Perform all aspects of planned, breakdown and shutdown activities in regard to housing maintenance; Carry out system generated on and offline inspections.
Location
You will be working across our Newman Housing Portfolio on a residential or FIFO arrangement.
If residential is preference you will be located in the town of Newman, with relocation benefits on offer for the successful candidate. The 7,000 strong population enjoys well-established town facilities including a newly revitalised town centre and sporting facilities. As a gateway to the Karijini national park, you will be in close proximity to spectacular gorges, water courses and stunningly unique landscapes.
This position will work on a 7 days on 7 days off roster, 12 hour working days.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Trade Qualification Valid Australian C class driver’s license ARC Refrigerant Handling License WA Restricted Electrical License Mix of experience in both Domestic work and Mining Operations Computer Literacy to use the following systems - 1SAP, Fiori, MS Excel and Word A proven track record of safety management Must be able to work at a high standard autonomously Strong communication and relationship management skills About Our Process
