Job Details:
Candidates will apply to Refrigeration mechanic position. This position is to maintain general mechanical maintenance to all refrigeration, boiler systems, air compressor, flotation/main lift stations and hot water systems in the facility: All maintenance activities on the plant site including but not limited to, Preventive Maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair all systems required.
Refrigeration Mechanic position could work in any area of the plant, Processing or Slaughter. Duties could include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching; climbing up and down stairs and ladders; Lifting is required in many areas (up to 70 pounds). Successful completion of a respiratory physical will be necessary. These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment.
Education: Prefer High School Graduate or equivalent. College or technical school a plus.
EXPERIENCE: Experience within industrial maintenance field or technical related background. Ammonia and refrigeration experience or education preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a minimum of (6) months of continuous work experience in maintenance with a single employer within the last (12) months or currently attending/graduated from an industrial maintenance training program in the last 3 years.
Must be available to work C shift (overnight). Effective 01-02-2025 Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180 days rehire waiting period and 3 times limit.
