Refrigeration Mechanic

2nd Shift

Level A Refrigeration mechanics are Level III RETA Certified and completing/enrolled in Level IV. They independently operate and control plants refrigeration equipment, with advanced knowledge of theory and skills and electrical controls and applications. They repair, troubleshoot, maintain, inspect, and adjust complex refrigeration processes in the plant to provide uninterrupted cooling requirements.

Duties/Activities Required by Job        

Operate and control all plant refrigeration equipment, assure all scheduled preventative maintenance is completed as scheduled. Complete work orders as assigned, assist other level refrigeration mechanics as needed. Repair, troubleshoot, maintain, inspect and adjust complex refrigeration processes in the plant to provide uninterrupted cooling requirements. Adhere to all safety requirements, including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Lock out Tag out procedures and Process Safety Management related matters Daily/Weekly Reporting for all work completed, hours spent, and materials used

Educations/Experience Requirements    

H/S, Technical , Vocational or advanced schooling, formal training and/or general-level maintenance with journeyman and/or certifications in one or more disciplines. 5-7 yrs. Industrial Manufacturing or Skilled Trades, previous work-related experience, may include a combination of on-the-job and  informal training Level III RETA Certification, HazMat Trained, Advanced knowledge of theory and skills to safely/successfully function as  senior level mechanic.
