Description Position at Pilgrim's
-3 years of industrial electrical experience in a food industry environment preferred.
2-3 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration operation in a food industry environment preferred.
Basic computer skills necessary.
PLC knowledge a plus.
Physical demands: Climbing including ladders, lifting, working with a variety of hand and power tools, shop machines and tools.
Work environment: Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat, and extreme cold conditions.
Must be able to adjust its work schedule according to the company needs.
Experience and knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration equipment to include hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, plumbing, fans and level/pressure control switches.
RETA certification a plus, willing to train.
HAZMAT training highly desirable.
Position requires a drug test and background check.
Must be able to learn quickly and make good decisions, prioritizing safety as a condition.
Must be able to work in a team environment and perform a variety of duties.
High school or equivalent
Must have a valid driver license
Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain site ammonia refrigeration systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, AC/DC motors and drives, electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, HVAC Units and PLC’s.
Day to day maintenance and repair to equipment.
Availability as a first responder if needed
Conducting daily rounds to observe and record temperatures and humidity levels, and making minor adjustments·
Support the plant facilities and equipment meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements.
