D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Region Paralegal. The right candidate will support the Region Counsel in managing responsibilities of Legal Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist the Region Counsel in managing regional litigation. Prepare and maintain database of Region litigation matters; update daily Manage the litigation calendar and litigation case files Under the guidance of Region Counsel, review marketing programs and materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Prepare and maintain contractor’s licenses and real estate licenses for division offices Prepare and maintain lease database for regional and division offices Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Ability to work overtime Ability to travel overnight Assist the Region Counsel with special projects, responding to discovery requests, and addressing homeowner and warranty requests Process Fictitious Business Name Statements for division offices on an as-needed basis

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or six or more years of related experience and/or training Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications Proficiency with MS Office and email Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision The noise level is generally moderate
