Region Senior Financial Analyst

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for aSr. Financial Analyst. The right candidate will analyze and assimilate financial data into useful management tools. Create and update financial models during project planning, due diligence, project submittal and division forecasting for potential and existing projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist Division CFO and Controller with the divisional business plan process, ensuring quality, accuracy, and analytical review Equip management with profitability analysis and reporting, including actual to enable informed decision-making Provide accounting support in addition to managing special projects Prepare and submit Weekly Funding Request Report to region and corporate, track funding Identify problem areas during analytical review. Evaluate, recommend, and implement alternative solutions Create and update financial models Review, update and manage Land Acquisition Performa (LAP) to support business plan for project planning Develop and maintain metrics for planning communities in planning tool Develop and maintain strategic plan utilizing key land objectives consistent with business plan for land position Update feasibility LAPs to be submitted in the corporate submittal package for closing LAPs Transfer and update project information from LAP to GPA once project is purchased Oversee project profitability spanning the life of a project Manage and ensure data integrity for the Major Acquisition Transactions (MAT) database Prepare, update and submit financial model trackers to region Manage the Inventory Tracker updates Prepare various reports and analyses required by region or corporate Provide financial advice to managers Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company Ability to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university Four to seven years of related experience and/or training Able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure when meeting deadlines Outstanding analytical skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability Excellent Excel skills Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications Proficiency with MS Office and email Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

Preferred Qualifications

CPA Preferred Effective at working both as an individual and in a team-oriented environment Ability to accurately and efficiently process and record large volumes of data
