Position Summary
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) will promote ravulizumab in the ‘complement’ area including neurology (gMG), nephrology (aHUS) and haematology (PNH).
As a member of our Sales Team, the RAM will work cross-functionally preparing local plans (cluster team) and will develop relationships with existing and new clients, engaging them in learning more about our rare disease leadership.
Will cover areas in central Spain / Extremadura (pending territory adjustment)
Principal Responsibilities
Leadership position
Provide data and scientific published information (gMG, aHUS, PNH) to HCPs and KOLs.Implement Alexion commercial strategy within targeted key accounts/hospitals.Achieve local commercial goals.Build a solid network of effective and trustful relationships with key accounts/hospitals/decision makers.Implement educational and disease awareness plans using approved educational resources and tools.Organize meetings in hospitals/region, with the support of the Medical Department.Work collaborative with the cross functional team members in the territory (MSL, Access and PJM (Patient Journey Manager).Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive opportunities.Timely feeding of reporting systems (Customer Relationship Management) and follow stablished call plan.Collect and communicate pharmacovigilance information according to the procedure set up by medical department.Support function.
Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team leads – marketing, medical affairs, market access and patient journey.Work collaboratively with access to ensure access for all on-label patients.Feedback in the elaboration of the country disease plans.Be aware and report on the local health care policy changes and their impact on Alexion’s business.Prepare and conduct promotional presentations to external audiences of customers and stakeholdersQualifications
3-5 years’ experience in hospital business preferable with experience in neurology.Preferable experience in rare diseases/orphan drugs.Previous experience in key account management would be highly desirable.Computer office packs and reporting tools.Basic level of EnglishEducation & Capabilities
Medical/scientific background.Preferable with a degree in life science and/or business/marketing.Knowledge of the country pharma regulations.Demonstrable commercial success in a specialist hospital role.Ability to successfully resolve issues/problem solving.Communication skills.AstraZeneca embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
