Role:
The MNC regional accounting and reporting manager is a central business partner within MNC, adequatly reporting and steering the financials of the MNC activity
To succeed he/she oversees the accounting activities, the reporting activities (Management reports,...) and ensure a very close cooperation with the MNC departments (Policy Management, Credit, Commercial,...), the finance teams of the regions, the different Competence Centres/Central teams (GCC, Technical Accounting,...) and Group Finance. Acting as a role model, his/her leadership style will advocate for change and improvement, and create an environment where every team member can contribute
Main tasks:
- Identify opportunities of improvement (process efficiency, data quality,...), and actively support the Allianz Trade transformation (ITMP, SimpliFi,...)
- Responsible for MNC financial figures for all Allianz Trade BUs, including MNC IBNR Committee, Brokerage management (external and interBUs commissions), Feeder system reconciliation and data quality management, ageing balances production
- Manage the MNC accounting & reporting team, enabling a high performing department
- Management of the relationship with local entities, competence centres, Group Finance, MNC departments and external auditors
Complexity Requires / Future Challenges:
- Adapting the accounting and reporting processes to the evolution of the Allianz Trade operations and finance organization (ITMP, SAP4/Hana, SimpliFi,...)
- Enabling an effective governance and interaction between the MNC central team and the regional finance teams
- Harmonizing processes and practices for Accounintg/Reporting amongst regions in coordination with Group Finance
Knowledge / Experiences / Competencies required:
- Academic
* MBA / CPA / Master's degree in corporate finance, accounting, economics / Master of Science / ...
* Top tier university degree appreciated
- Professional experience
* Senior financial professional with work experience of > 5 years in an international environment
* A first experience in a Big 4 audit firm appreciated
* A first managerial experience appreciated
* A proven track-record of operational successes
- Business & market knowledge:
* Deep understanding of the credit insurance and specialties products
* Confirmed knowledge of insurance accounting rules and regulatory environment
* Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting rules
* Expertise in the tools (SAP, Pluriform, Compass) appreciated
