We have an outstanding career opportunity for aRegional Accounting Managerto join a leading Company located in theCharlotte, NC or Fayetteville, NCsurrounding area.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our recycled PET (rPET) Finance team. The ideal candidate for the rPET Regional Accounting Manager position will be a results-driven leader, motivated by challenges, and have excellent communication, organization, administration, and interpersonal skills. The rPET Controller will oversee the accounting operations of the recycling (rPET) facilities located in Fayetteville, NC, Darlington, SC, Richmond, IN and Reading, PA. The position can be based in Charlotte, NC, or Fayetteville, NC.
Responsibilities :
+ The rPET Regional Accounting Manager will be reportable to the Senior US/ Canada Controller and have responsibilities for the following tasks:
+ Validate current practices and procedures, identify gaps and promote change as needed.
+ Prepare and coordinate an internal audit plan to validate raw materials, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory accuracy.
+ Inventory internal control and analysis, validate and propose changes to standard cost and product structures.
+ Review conversion cost analysis and reporting.
+ Maintain and create Green Business KPI's reports and charts.
+ Responsible for Month-end Manufacturing for rPET Businesses closing process to ensure accurate relay of information to upper management
+ Review and ensure delivery of on-time reports needed to comply with different entities.
+ Supervise and develop on-site accounting staff, managing performance, setting goals, and providing training.
+ Perform ad hoc analysis and participate in special projects as requested
+ Work with external auditors on a semi-annually basis by providing analysis of inventory balances and fluctuations as needed.
+ Coordinate reviews with process owners of different areas, such as, Production, Plant Management, Procurement, Logistics, Marketing, etc., identifying opportunity areas, and work together to implement action plans and follow up.
+ Coordinate with the IT department for system issues, maintenance, and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and others.
Basic Hiring Criteria :
+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
+ Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in Accounting / Auditing roles, including 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, & organization skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
+ Experience with ERP accounting systems, SAP is a plus.
+ Advanced Microsoft Excel experience; additional common software to use MS PowerPoint and Power BI.
+ Availability to work overtime, Saturdays and holidays when necessary to meet closing commitment dates.
+ Travel requirement ~40-50%.
