Reporting to the Director of Automation; the Regional Automation Sales Development person will be responsible for the sale of robotic automation equipment and system integration, identifying and searching new sales prospects, and seeking automation opportunities located in the Midwestern Region of the United States to ultimately achieve profit goals – selling standard product lines.
Responsibilities Responsible for the sale of robotic automation equipment and system integration, identifying and searching new sales prospects, and seeking automation opportunities located in the Midwest Region of the United States.Selling standard product lines specifically directed at solving industry wide problems in a variety of fields with ROI justificationsRoboTrex – Robotic Machine TendingRoboArc – Robotic WeldingRoboFinisher – Robotic Finishing RoboMill – Robotic MillingRoboForm – Robotic FormingRoboMold – Robotic Rotational MoldingUnderstand the company products, solutions, history and capabilities.Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients, understanding their manufacturing needs and challenges.Participate in customer meetings and perform sales presentations, whether on-site or virtually, to discuss potential projects.Estimate project expenses using established standards and templates.Collaborate closely with the engineering team to refine solution concepts.Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and quotations that clearly outline the value proposition of our solutions.Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing techniques.Gather and relay feedback from clients to the product development team to help improve and innovate our automation offerings.Operate in a team environment to help meet or exceed customer expectations.Assist in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Proficiency with Fanuc robotics preferred.Ability to create and interpret concept drawings or adapt existing automation cells as necessary.Technical writing capabilities.Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical sales role within manufacturing facilities in the U.S.Strong understanding of automation technologies, systems, and solutions, including PLCs, and robotics.Demonstrated ability to drive sales, manage accounts, and achieve targets in a technical sales environment.Knowledge of principles and methods for demonstrating, promoting, and selling products or services.Display a keen enthusiasm for generating and pursuing business opportunities.Strong self-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.Willingness to travel within the U.S. as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Education or Equivalents experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience of direct sales experience of industrial robotic automation preferably in metal and/or plastic manufacturingMetalcraft of Mayville is an Equal Opportunity Employer:
