Applies general production knowledge and supervisory skills in overseeing the shift operations and workforce. Core Competencies + Partnerships + Growth mindset + Results oriented + Customer focused + Professionalism Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: Plant Manager; Assistant Plant Manager Positions that Report to you: None Primary Responsibilities and Duties: + Reports to work when scheduled and on time. + Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines. + Oversees the production process to ensure efficiency, quality and safety standards are met. + Must be willing to work in all areas of production including measuring, scooping, lifting, and pouring various products. + Trains and coaches new and existing employees on production techniques, safety procedures and company policies. + Assists in set up and clean up responsibilities. + Practices HAACP and Good Manufacturing Practices at all times. + Troubleshoots and resolves production related issues. Secondary Responsibilities and Duties: + Assist management with procedures to ensure quality product while seeking cost cutting ideas. + Needs to be able to work alongside other individuals on line as a team. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Must have the ability to use logical thinking or solve problems. Education and Experience: High school education or equivalent. Previous manufacturing experience. Physical Requirements: + Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force repeatedly; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. + Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 6-8 hours a day. + Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. + Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Working Conditions: + The duties of this position are performed mostly in the production area, which is a dry climate-controlled environment. + Works in environment where you may be exposed to food allergens, such as but not limited to, milk, egg, peanut, tree nut, soy and wheat. + Works around loud equipment. + Frequent deadlines exist while handling multiple tasks. + Daily contact with employees, technicians and salespersons. + Ability to climb, bend, lift and work in areas of limited mobility. Contacts: Has daily contact with customers, employees and suppliers/vendors. Has occasional contact with federal or state regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
