Regional Bioprocess Engineer

Job Summary

This is an exceptional opportunity to apply your leadership skills and technical knowledge of industrial bioscience manufacturing as a member of the team global Health & Biosciences (H&B) Manufacturing Technology (MT) organization. As a part of the Americas H&B MT team, your work will improve and maintain technology performance, process efficiency, and continuous improvement for short and long-term goals of global H&B operations.

Job Responsibilities

Provide Process Engineering and CAPEX support for multiple sites within H&B.Troubleshooting, problem solving and proactive support of H&B manufacturing processes, with a focus on the enzyme businesses.Lead projects to optimize the capability and performance of internal and external manufacturing processes, including process transfers and introduction.Ongoing assessment of internal manufacturing capability and compliance (technical performance, quality, product cost analysis)Supporting new product and technology introductions both internally and external contract manufacturing, interfacing with global teams including R&DMonitoring and reporting on process performance, product cost, and operational efficiency of H&B manufacturing plantsProvide technoeconomic analysis for manufacturing improvements including CAPEX projects, commercialization, and debottlenecking initiatives.Contribute to strategic initiatives as a member of the global H&B Manufacturing Technology community and ring teamAssess and help identify manufacturing assets with capability to meet current and future business needsProvide process of commercialization (POC) program support in regional H&B manufacturing sites.Execute process and equipment design (FEL) for capital expansion growth and improvement projects.Traveling between sites up to 25% of the time.

Job Requirements

BS/MS in Chemical Engineering or related field5+ years experience – in industrial/biochemical processing including project management experienceIn-depth knowledge of industrial biotech process technology – fermentation, downstream processing, liquid and solid formulationDemonstrated skills in collaboration across locations, functions, and divisionsWillingness to travel up to 25% between sitesProven track record in decision making, prioritization, and strategic thinkingExcellent presentation skills and comfort around senior leadershipFinancial and business acumen/experience, including project justifications and product cost analysis
