Job Location : Must reside in Great Lakes Region/Illinois area to support facilities
The role you will contribute:
Leads compliance activities and resources and provides oversight for areas of responsibility to ensure achievement of goals for compliance and related departments
The value you will bring to the team:
· Implement the AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility Program for the designated physician practices and other facilities as assigned, with oversight from, and reporting to, the Designated Corporate Responsibility Officer.
· Lead the day-to-day operations of the corporate responsibility function for the designated practices and facilities, including the handling of compliance and privacy matters, and providing oversight of the Regional Corporate Responsibility program.
· Oversees development and implementation of compliance measures corresponding to professional standards of conduct, applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, federal, state and local laws.
· Oversees continuous monitoring and risk assessment of regulatory risks and industry trends.
· Establishes and maintains collaborative, credible, trusting partnerships with leaders in finance, operations and clinical functions.
· Acts as an advisor and partner to business leaders concerning associated compliance risks, gaps, and potential controls for future strategic initiatives.
· Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
· 7 years of experience required
· Certification in Health Care Compliance or certification eligible, and certification obtained within first year
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulations including: the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Compliance Guidance, the Federal False Claims Act, the Federal Anti-kickback Statute, Stark Law and HIPAA.
· Strong working knowledge of compliance and healthcare software/technologies including compliance and ethics reporting tools, privacy monitoring software, conflict of interest tools and electronic medical records.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of Medicare and third-party payer coding and billing regulations.
· Working knowledge and experience using word and excel platforms.
· Strong ability to assess, interpret and report data.
· Organizational and planning skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
· Ability to operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
· 10 years of experience preferred.
· 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
