The Regional Director, Engineering Operations - South East Asia is responsible for the strategic technical oversight and management of the built environment (the facilities) and the administration and application of the technical operations of all managed, owned & leased properties within their assigned portfolio. This includes but is not limited to technical guidance, direction & support, asset management, training & development, supporting the hiring of Chief Engineers, CAPEX & financial management, aiding with special projects, renovations and improvements, energy & water conservation, and ensuring Hilton and local code compliance. The objective is to ensure all hotels within the portfolio are safe for all occupants, efficiently and effectively maintained & operated, and are being supported technically to meet operational, owner, and guest expectations.

What will I be doing? 
As the Regional Director, Engineering Operations - South East Asia, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nProvide strategic technical direction, management, oversight, and support.\nPlan and implement initiatives to continuously improve activities relating to technical operations.\nGuide and support hotels with specific technical issues.\nUndertake hotel visits and property inspections.\nConduct hotel technical Audits.\nEnsure hotel assets (building, spaces, plant, equipment, and systems) are being correctly and efficiently managed and maintained.\nWork closely with hotels to maintain Hilton standards, policies, procedures, and relationships.\nMonitoring of hotel technical & utility financial targets, ensuring costs are kept within agreed limits.\nProvide guidance and support with Capex planning and implementation.\nProduce feasibility and evaluation studies.\nDevelop and manage programs aimed at energy & water conservation.\nMonitor and ensure LightStay data is being maintained correctly and that hotels are compliant.\nDevelopment of technical manuals and guides.\nProvide regular technical reports and updates to senior management.\nWork with and support other corporate departments on specific projects, committees, initiatives or issues.\nAssist hotels with the review and interview process of potential Chief Engineers.\nInitiate technical training and development opportunities.\nStay abreast of new products/systems/technologies that may benefit hotel operations.\nWork closely with and support the Safety & Security teams regarding the life/safety processes, procedures, initiatives, and other internal stakeholders.\nSupport owner conversations as required.\nAttend and participate in interdepartmental, owner, or project-related meetings.\nOrganize Engineering calls, workshops, and meetings as required.\nManage personal travel and expense budget.\n\n

\n\nPossess a Degree/Diploma (or equivalent experience in lieu of) in a relevant technical field, with ten years’ experience, preferably in hotels or similar facilities management roles.\nPossess a high technical understanding of building/facility equipment, systems, and operations.\nPossess Project and Energy management skills.\nStrong communication, team building, and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and at all management levels.\nAbility to handle demanding schedules and situations.\nExperience working in multi-cultural or international settings.\nDemonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and absolute discretion with sensitive information.\nAbility to manage and coordinate national and international travel schedules per the needs of the business.\n\n
