REGIONAL DIRECTOR, Financial Planning & Analysis (Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000/Yr)

JOB SUMMARY:

This senior management position is responsible for providing the strategic, financial, and operational direction for the West Coast region. Region includes Six Flags Magic Mountain & Hurricane Harbor in Los Angeles, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom & Hurricane Harbor in San Francisco, and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in Phoenix, AZ. This position will be the key driver of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, analysis, and reporting as well as overseeing the Daily Reporting and Information System functions for these five parks. Additionally, this role will be a key player in change management through driving internal process changes, influencing the adoption and proficiency of changes within the organization.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Business partner to Park President, General Managers, and Park Leadership Teams Provide direction and planning for Financial Analysis, Daily Reporting, and Information Systems Oversee all financial and finance related operational systems for the west coast parks Manage and direct the annual budgeting process for these parks to ensure fair and proper allocation of resources between departments and properties Manage and direct the forecast process, including monthly meetings with each department to ensure accuracy and reasonableness of the forecasts Provide park level leadership for Information Systems Provide financial leadership for all departments to grow revenues and manage expenses Assist in the negotiation of leases and contracts as needed and review all contracts for legal and company policy compliance Collaborate with Corporate FP&A and Revenue Management teams to ensure thorough review and implementation of all initiatives, including special projects Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the operating and capital budgets for the Park President, General Managers, and Corporate Provide leadership and development to park leadership teams to ensure growth and productivity Provide strategic input to Park President and General Managers with regard to park direction and long range planning Responsible for maintaining all Six Flags’ standards and enforcing all company policies and procedures Lead and implement change initiatives related to business processes and technologies Drive adoption and proficiency of changes within the organization

 QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA or MBA preferred 10+ years of progressive experience in Financial Management w/knowledge of theme park financial operations and systems preferred Financial, planning, and analysis skills Experience driving budgeting and forecast processes Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects within deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft applications with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
