THE ROLE
The Regional Human Resources Director partners with senior leaders across multiple properties and provides strategic advice on a wide variety of areas to maximize organization effectiveness and performance. The Regional HR Director provides expert recommendations, counsel, and coaching to senior leaders, managers, and employees (union and non-union) on all employee related issues such as, but not limited to: performance management, documentation, progressive discipline measures, career development, employee relations, policies and procedures, and all employment/labor laws. The person stepping into this role will proactively anticipate labor/employee relations issues and provide counsel to resolve them. The Regional Director is also responsible for building bench strength in the organization through the identification, recruitment, and development of top talent.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years’ human resources experience, preferably in a high-volume hospitality environment (opening venue experience preferred). Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or University required, Master’s degree preferred. Must have the ability to travel into the business 3 days a week or based on event schedules. Must be able to travel 40% of the time across the business portfolio. Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills; effectively influence others, the ability to make decisions quickly and using fact based data, along with a high level of maturity. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, business acumen, organizational savvy, and have sensitivity dealing with confidential information. Employee relations experience, including conducting investigations and resolving grievances. Outstanding leadership skills with a high capacity for managing multiple projects simultaneously, influencing and gaining credibility with all levels of employees, management, union representatives and clients. Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to learn new programs and procedures quickly. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in a union work environment preferred, but not required. Experience managing and developing a team of HR professional at the venue level and or in a direct reporting relationship. COMPENSATIONSalary Range: $140,000-$160,000
