The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by a Regional Director & Business Development Manager.

\n\nManage client relationships strategically, providing key business insights and expertise to drive client loyalty, profitability, and retention.\nCollaborate with leadership to develop client relationship management plans and activities based on client classification and importance.\nExecute relationship management strategies to identify client issues and opportunities, creating detailed action plans to improve both property & client relationships for all accounts.\nModel the company’s culture, values, and brand promise to strengthen client relationships. Serve as a brand ambassador, demonstrating the value of the company’s products and services.\nBuild strong relationships with board members by offering trusted advice, bringing key insights, and following through with commitments.\nInfluence and understand the financial and operational goals for each client, including developer transitions, capital improvement projects, and financial challenges.\nEnsure the growth and profitability of each account by adding new products and services based on client needs and pricing.\nAttract, develop, and retain a diverse team of managers who can meet each client’s needs.\nProvide ongoing support through training, coaching, and career development for associates seeking growth opportunities.\nMentor community managers & teams, emphasizing professionalism, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.\nEnsure compliance with the Illinois Condo Act and regulatory requirements for the property, correcting any violations as needed.\nMaintain service excellence in all interactions with residents, vendors, staff, and colleagues, ensuring knowledge and enforcement of the Community Governing Documents.\n\n

Client Relationship Management

\n\nBuild and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients to meet their needs and foster lasting partnerships.\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.\n\n

Strategic Planning

\n\nDevelop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and achieve company business objectives.\nCollaborate with senior leadership to align sales strategies with overall business goals.\n\n

\n

Identifying New Business Opportunities

\n\nIdentify and pursue new markets, clients, partnerships, products, or services that align with business objectives.\nExplore local and international expansion opportunities for growth.\n\n

\n

Educating Clients

\n\nEducate clients and potential buyers about the company’s products or services to increase awareness and drive sales.\nPresent value propositions to prospective clients, demonstrating how the company’s offerings meet their needs.\n\n

Analyzing Market Trends

\n\nResearch and analyze market trends to identify emerging opportunities, growth areas, and new markets.\nStay informed on industry developments and trends that could impact business strategy.\n\n

Analyzing Competitor Activities

\n\nMonitor competitor activities and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.\nAssess competitors' strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for differentiation.\n\n

Contacting Potential Clients

\n\nReach out to potential clients via cold calls, emails, and other methods to generate new leads.\nQualify leads and assess their fit with the company’s offerings.\n\n

Presenting the Company

\n\nPresent the company’s products and services to potential clients in a professional manner.\nConduct product demonstrations, presentations, and meetings to secure new business.\n\n

Additional Responsibilities

\n\nAllocate and manage company resources effectively to support business development efforts.\nOrganize events, including networking and client-facing activities, to promote business growth.\nMaintain and update client databases and sales records.\nHandle leads, sales, proposals, and other business development activities.\n\n

Additional Duties

\n\nPractice and adhere to Associa Global Service Standards.\nConduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.\nPerform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.\nMay participate in any variety of meetings and workgroups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.\nEnsure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.\nFollow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.\nPerform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.\n\n Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

\n\nKnowledge and ability to apply Illinois Statutes and Community's documents.\nExcellent organization, motivation, leadership, management and interpersonal skills.\nCritical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision-making ability.\nAbility to apply a comprehensive knowledge of a particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.\nExcellent customer service skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and provide guidance to all associate levels.\nStrong presentation skills\nAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, leases and/or regulations\nMust have a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.\nMust have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficiency in researching the Internet. Previous experience with financial and accounting programs.\nAbility to work with sensitive or confidential information.\nExperience managing large, complex accounts or projects. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.\nAbility to work well in a team environment as well as independently. Must be self-driven with the ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities.\nKnowledge of mechanical operations of a building and equipment.\nAbility to respond to emergencies promptly\n\n

Education & Experience

\n\nBachelor’s Degree Required\nMaster of Business Administration Degree Preferred\n7 - 10 years of directly related or closely related experience\n5 – 7 years of Management and/or Supervisory experience\n5 – 7 years of Community Association experience\nIL CAM license required\n\n

Travel Requirements

\n\nFrequent travel to various locations throughout Chicago for assigned portfolio\n
