Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is seeking a Regional Director of Clinical Services to join it's clinical team in supporting and improving clinical services across assigned PHS sites. This position encompasses a broad range of expertise in Long Term Care. The primary purpose of this position is to provide consultative clinical support and technical guidance to Campus Administrators and Directors of Nursing at assigned sites in the region.
This full time, benefit eligible position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader to work at the corporate level providing support for our clinical programs in our skilled nursing communities. Candiates must be willing to travel to PHS sites regularly and the home office is in Roseville, MN. The right candidate will have experience in all aspects of a SNF nursing department, multi-site management, history of successful state surveys, and excellent interpersonal, problem solving and leadreship skills.

Responsibilities
The Regional Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the oversight of clinical aspects of Presbyterian Homes’ care center sites in the assigned region. The Regional Director of Clinical Services works collaboratively with PHS Management staff, campus/care center administrators, clinical administrators, clinical staff within sites, outside agencies such as Minnesota Department of Health, OHFC, DIA, and DQA, and functional directors of assigned areas of accountability.
Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
Promote efficient and effective operations by providing clinical consultation and technical support to assigned sites in your region. Support the Site Leader and Clinical Administrator in developing, executing and monitoring clinical goals. Conduct regular site visits and conduct education as needed during visits. Review functional KRAs for your assigned region. Identify regional trends and areas of concern to the RDO, Site Leader and Clinical Administrator. Support Site Leaders and Clinical Administrators in development and execution of action steps for improvement. Support the Site Leader in assessing competency and reviewing performance of Clinical Administrators. Ensure effective communication with all customers. Participate in strategic planning related to clinical operations for assigned sites.Ensure consistent and continuous regulatory compliance by maintaining awareness of both Federal and State (MN, WI, IA) regulations. Assist with survey preparedness including conducting mock surveys, and act as a resource for the survey process. Assist with the plan of correction and follow up education, audits and monitoring. Review and report Vulnerable Adult reports and assist in investigations as needed. Participate in the development and analysis of reports, action plans, and measure the progress toward goals.Ensure effective communication with all customers. Participate in strategic planning related to clinical operations for assigned sites. Identify clinical needs of assigned sites. Assure an effective communication and problem-solving process is in place to optimize the flow of information between site and PHS Management & Services. Assure collaboration to achieve desired organizational outcomes and site goals.Provide hands-on support for the site during leave/turnover of Clinical Administrators including sourcing, recruitment, and interviewing of candidates. Assess clinical competency / capacity of candidates and provide input to hiring process. Partner closely with Campus Administrator to identify and place qualified candidates. Fill in for vacant Clinical Administrator positions and/or provide direction to others filling in for vacant Clinical Administrator roles. Manage overall onboarding process of Clinical Administrators; Coordinate with clinical specialists and Site Leader, manage mentoring relations for Clinical Administrators. Support the Clinical Administrator as the first path for technical escalation beyond the Clinical Administrator. Review complaints & submissions for the region; manage high risk incidents in partnership with the Clinical Administrator and Site Leader. Report all significant high risk situations to the Director of Clinical Services and Regional Director of Operations (RDO).Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license state(s) served.2+ years experience as a Director of Nursing/Clinical Administrator.Demonstrated ability to write and implement policies and procedures.Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records.Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for long-term care. Working knowledge of regulatory compliance. Experience in class F regulations and Housing policies.Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills; adaptability, flexibility, and creativity. Ability to communicate with a variety of people.Ability to travel to PHS sites and work a flexible schedule as needed to support site and organizational needs.Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
