DescriptionThe Regional Director of Operations ensures the professional and smooth operation in the Kempinski Hotels for Region Greater China & Mongolia  at all times. The overall scope of this role will be to be the sparring partner for all regional specialists with an overall responsibility and accountability for Hotels’ profitability, adherence to corporate policies and procedures by focusing on guest experience, specific guest experience touch points and the implementation of the right training in conjunction with, and under guidance of the corporate specialists.

Key Responsibilities\nAssist Regional VP Operations, all Specialists & General Managers of hotels in the region with pre-opening and opening activities.\nCoordinates, organizes and channels efforts through the regional office to ensure well-organized communication and full support to all the regional Kempinski hotels when necessary.\nAssist in developing the operational strategy and create concepts for the hotel. \nCoordinate and follow-up on the preparation of the annual business plan and initiatives.\nClosely monitor profitability, performance, PACE and forecasts of operating hotels. Provides solutions to improve in problem areas and assists in implementing corrective measures. \nMonitors latest development in the hospitality industry and competitors to keeps up with trends and costumer expectations. \nTogether with the Regional VP Operations and Specialties, closely review the individual hotels performance and challenges General Managers on performance and forecast. \nFollow up that Hotels adhere to all company and hotel policies, procedures and minimum standards of performance. \nReviews and initiates regular updates of Policies & Procedures, departmental operations manual to ensure they’ve been prepared and updated according to latest Kempinski standards and market demands. \nMonitor developments in hotel industry and competitors and keeps up-to-date with the latest industry trends.  \nInteracts with all General Managers and develops productive working relationships with them.  \nEnsure in corporation and with the Regional Director of Training the implementation of all Kempinski Policies and Procedures. \nMaintains database and network of Regional Specialists and Master Trainers to execute the support in the field. \nFollow social media and Review Pro results \nEnsure smooth operations within the executive department. \nWorks closely with the Director of HR and Regional VP Operations on the people move matrix and ensure follow through to fill vacancies.  \nImplement and follow KEES action plans. \nMonitor closely the monthly 360 reports, Profit & Lost report, forecast statements, other various financial statements and Market performance related reports to coordinate feedback with the Regional VP Operations. \nEnsures compliance with our procurement standards and coordinates with Kempinski Trading.  \nCommunicate hotel philosophy and represent the hotel internally and externally. \n

Job Requirements\nF&B background is a MUST.  \nMinimum 8 years in an F&B management role. Minimum 5 years experience in a 5* hotel, preferably experience in a successful stand-alone Food & Beverage operation.\nBA/BSc in Hospitality Management or related field or MBA.\nAbility to work and communicate in a multi-national environment: \nAbility to work independently, thrive under pressure in challenging circumstances and provide proactive, rational solutions.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hotel staff and customers/suppliers.\nAbility to identify and delegate tasks effectively. \nExcellent organisational and time management skills. \nMaintain a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times. Works in a safe, prudent and organised manner.\n
