JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Regional Director of Resident Experience is responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment and ensuring a collaborative relationship with community team members, residents, families, and the regional team. The RDRE is responsible for the direct oversight of a designated regional area, providing support, onboarding, ongoing training, and site visits. This position will be knowledgeable in all areas of programming for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care that will carry out the organization’s signature resident experience programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not an exhaustive list)

1. Community Oversite

Assist in the hiring and training process of new Directors of Resident Experience in designated regions. Make recommendations to the National Director of Resident Experience, Executive Director, and Regional Director of Operations so that hiring standards can be maintained. Train, support, and develop community program team members and leadership in the community, ensuring that Sinceri’s signature programs are understood and applied. Determine and communicate costs associated with program development. Communicate potential costs to the Executive Director and/or Regional Director of Operations. Support the Directors of Resident Experience in determining costs associated with a new program and/or fundraising efforts. Seek approval for new initiatives and fundraising efforts from the Regional Director of Operations and/or corporate operations and resident experience leaders. Identify and develop community partnerships to assist in program development. Support the Directors of Resident Experience in determining community partners who may assist in new programs. Partner with the Directors of Resident Experience at the communities to create volunteer programs inside the community as well as in the surrounding community. Recognize and foster a sales-oriented culture by encouraging the Directors of Resident Experience at the communities to participate in and support sales programs at the communities. Work collaboratively with dining services to ensure all dining options are appropriate and aligned with specific activities/themes. Direct the Directors of Resident Experience in planning and executing active and engaging programs. This includes a well-balanced curriculum that includes educational, social, spiritual, and engaging programs inside and outside of the community. Monitor resident satisfaction with community programming and make recommendations and program modifications based on feedback received. Ensure activity programs are delivered seven (7) days per week at the communities and according to state regulations. Encourage and review programs that are developed at the community level. Collaborative training with Health Services and Dining Services to ensure residents' interests and daily routines are documented components of residents' Plan of Care. Foster family and community support of Sinceri programs through newsletters, calendars, digital displays, flyers, and networking programs to encourage/promote family involvement.

2. Regional Collaboration

Active participation and/or facilitation in regional and team meetings, conference calls, video calls, and other required communication activities. Timely and effective travel/community visits to provide support and training, identify areas of opportunity, address staff and family concerns, and ensure adherence to organizational mission, vision, and values. Complete timely site visit summaries following community visits that are sent to the community, regional team members, and senior leadership. Support occupancy growth and compliance in assigned region(s), providing expertise in Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living. Collaborate with the Directors of Resident Experience, the Executive Directors, the regional team, and other community team members to develop appropriate action plans to continually improve performance and satisfaction levels. Collaborate with the Regional Director of Health Services on at-risk residents and high elopement and/or post-elopement residents where programming may be of assistance. Assure compliance with programming cornerstones, standards and expectations, and social media standards for designated regions through training, support, and audits.

3. Program Implementation and Development

Develop and implement unique events, presentations, community outreach, and educational opportunities relative to Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living. Inspire new programs that meet the needs of the residents; assist in meeting individual community needs, align with the trends of long-term care, and assist in redefining the resident experience. Assist in managing policies and procedures relating to Resident Experience. Participate in ongoing professional growth relating to resident engagement, memory care trends, and related research. Initiate recommendations to the National Director of Resident Experience that support further growth of Sinceri’s resident experience programs. Research new and innovative life enrichment ideas to keep programs fresh in all communities. Support Sinceri’s signature programs and demonstrate knowledge of their initiatives and desired outcomes. Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of the signature programs and provide feedback to the National Director of Resident Experience to make changes accordingly. Provide virtual Interim Directors of Resident Experience support as needed and/or requested by the National Director of Resident Experience. Coordinate with outside organizations/groups to arrange additional programs for residents, as appropriate.

Other Duties

Provide timely and effective responses to emails, phone calls, and various inquiries related to management, team members, vendors, residents, families, and guests. Meet on a regular cadence with the National Director of Resident Experience and provide feedback on community needs and goals established. Promote and maintain a positive attitude, accountability, and respect for cultural diversity. Act as a Role Model/Mentor to team members for communication skills, behavior management strategies, best practices, quality assurance, and resident engagement for meaningful programs. Participate in Executive Director and Regional Director orientation and training over signature programs. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum two (2) years of experience leading senior adults in activities within an assisted living and memory care community in a managerial role. Regional experience preferred. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Certified Dementia Practitioner preferred. Strong operations and program experience in retirement communities or long-term care. Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate requirements and present information to a wide variety of stakeholders, including residents, community teams, regional teams, and senior leadership teams. Must be proficient in developing, implementing, and evaluating educational training plans. Highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented to function with a high degree of independence. Must be able to read, write, and speak English for safety and work instruction purposes. Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EHR management.
